Revolty

Revolty repurposes electric mobility lithium batteries to store solar electricity.

Valentin Heuzé, Mathilde Janicot et Julen Urchoeguia, cofondateurs de Revolty, startup cleantech spécialisée dans le stockage solaire résidentiel par reconditionnement de batteries lithium

Millions of solar panel owners produce energy they cannot fully consume, due to a lack of affordable storage solutions. New batteries remain out of reach for most households - and in the meantime, lithium batteries from electric vehicles at the end of their first life are being underutilised.

Revolty tackles both realities at once: by giving these batteries a second life, they are developing a residential solar storage solution that is finally affordable and sustainable. Deployed through solar panel installers on the French market, and produced with a European industrial partner, Revolty's solution allows every panel owner to freely consume everything their panels produce.

The next steps

The first prototype is currently in production - a foundational milestone. The coming months will be dedicated to securing the necessary funding for its development, building a clear long-term product roadmap, and validating the techno-industrial proof of concept. A demanding set of challenges that will shape the entire trajectory of the project.

Pourquoi 21st by CentraleSupélec ?

Building a hardware product from scratch is one of the most complex challenges in deeptech entrepreneurship. 21st by CentraleSupélec supports Revolty across all aspects of company creation and development, with particular expertise in hardware projects. The accelerator also provides access to key partnerships - grants, loans, laboratories, experts - to fund and validate the product at every stage of its development.
