Accelerator | Ecklo raises €1.2M to accelerate the automation and deployment of its reusable pallet packaging

Ecklo, the startup revolutionizing logistics with its reusable alternative to plastic film, announces a 1.2 million euro fundraising round. This initial funding marks a key milestone for the young Île-de-France-based company, which is currently one of the only companies in the world to offer a reusable cover for pallet packaging.

This funding will enable it to strengthen its teams to accelerate product development and launch an automation solution on the market in 2026.

Reuse Central to Regulations

The war on plastic is on! As regulations on single-use packaging become increasingly strict, companies in the logistics sector must accelerate their transition to sustainable solutions.

Following the 3R decree, the European PPWR regulation will impose new obligations from 2030 to promote reuse. Companies are seeking alternatives to comply with these new regulations and reduce their environmental footprint while maintaining operational efficiency.

The Ecklo Team

A Solution to Reinvent Packaging That's Winning Over the Industry

To address these challenges, Corentin Dejean (CEO) partnered in November 2022 with Robin Bruneau (COO) and Florian Dejean (CTO) to found Ecklo in 2022.

After 2 years of R&D, the startup is launching the first eco-responsible and high-performance alternative to plastic film. A reusable cover, made from recycled and recyclable materials, that reduces CO₂ emissions by 82% and plastic waste by 95% for companies and transporters who use it for their logistics flows.

"Reusable solutions will only become standard if they address the operational challenges of logistics. It is with this objective that at Ecklo, we structure our R&D around three pillars: integration into existing processes, user adoption, and improved ergonomics," explains Corentin Dejean, Ecklo's CEO.

Less than a year after the launch of its first solution, it has already been adopted by about ten clients, including SMEs and transporters.

€1.2M in funding to accelerate innovation and industrialization

It is within this development context and to accelerate its growth that Ecklo announces a first fundraising round of €1.2 million, secured from BACS-Innov, Marco&Co, and individual business angels. This funding has already enabled the strengthening of the R&D team at the startup's Île-de-France design workshop (Nanterre). The team has already welcomed 3 new engineers (textile and mechanical) and will be further expanded by 3 to 5 sales representatives by the end of 2025.

Bolstered by this strengthened team and its innovative vision, Ecklo will present its new product, a reusable cap, at the Change Now exhibition (April 24 – 26, 2025). This product incorporates the technical expertise of Ecklo covers and allows for the replacement of disposable caps while maintaining the same ease of use. Indeed, its installation is similar to that of disposable versions, which facilitates its operational integration.

This cap thus offers a sustainable solution without compromising performance, with potential savings and an estimated availability for Q2 2025.

In the longer term, this fundraising fuels Ecklo's ambition for automation in the service of reuse. The startup indeed plans to launch, by the end of 2026, the first automated reusable packaging solution for pallets, an unprecedented advancement in the global market. While current solutions do not yet allow for automation, Ecklo aims to be the first player to make this model viable on a large scale and thus open its solution to large corporations.
