Exwayz, a pioneer in 3D positioning and navigation software, announces a €1M fundraising round led by CentraleSupélec Venture. This amount notably includes a grant from the prestigious i-Lab innovation competition as part of the France 2030 plan. This operation marks a key milestone for the company, which aims to make reliable 3D localization accessible to all manufacturers of autonomous systems. It is accompanied by strategic partnerships with scale-ups Embotech (Switzerland) and Cyvl.ai (US), and the arrival of Yves Bonnefont, former executive of the Stellantis group, as a non-executive advisor to the project.
A clear ambition: enabling robots to move without limits
Delivery robots, autonomous vehicles, industrial or logistics inspection, etc. The demand for autonomous robotics is exploding. But a major obstacle persists: reliable localization in complex environments such as ports, factories, logistics warehouses, or urban canyons.
Exwayz is overcoming this technological barrier thanks to its proprietary Exwayz SLAM (Simultaneous Localization And Mapping) technology, allowing any mobile system equipped with LiDAR to localize itself in real-time with centimetric precision.
“Our mission is simple: to make 3D localization accessible to all manufacturers of autonomous systems. We want to break the glass ceiling that still limits robotics and enable the emergence of new applications in industry, mobility, logistics, and security,” explains Hassan Bouchiba, co-founder and CEO of Exwayz.

Funding to accelerate development and international expansion
This fundraising will allow the company to strengthen its technical and R&D team by recruiting specialists in algorithms, 3D vision, and data science, and to accelerate development by optimizing the robustness and industrial performance of its SLAM solution.
The company also plans to strengthen its commercial deployment in the robotics, mobility, logistics, and industrial inspection markets, by increasing strategic partnerships and international pilot projects.
The startup is supported by the deeptech accelerator 21st by CentraleSupélec at Station F, the world's largest startup campus.
To support its growth, it completed an initial funding round with the venture capital fund CentraleSupélec Venture.
“In line with our mission to support high-tech startups from their early stages, the investment in Exwayz also aims to back a deep tech company that has already earned the trust of around twenty clients,” adds Cédric Curtil, CEO of CentraleSupélec Venture.

Proven Technology Across the Globe
Exwayz is already deploying its technology with major robotics and geospatial players across 5 continents. Among them, Embotech, a Swiss scale-up specializing in the development of fully autonomous trucks for ports and logistics hubs, relies on the Exwayz solution to ensure its fleet's navigation in complex environments.
In these high-traffic areas, often lacking fixed landmarks and reliable GNSS signals, Exwayz enables each Embotech vehicle to know its position with centimeter-level accuracy and thus perform delicate maneuvers. In 2026, the Port of Rotterdam will deploy 30 Embotech autonomous trucks resulting from this technological alliance, marking a major advancement in safer and more efficient container handling.
Giorgio Corbellini, COO of Embotech, explains that “Exwayz provides precise LiDAR localization and mapping capabilities that enhance our autonomous solutions. Their consistent quality, continuous feature improvement, and collaborative approach make them a valuable technology partner.”
In the United States, Cyvl.ai, a Boston-based scale-up specializing in geospatial data analysis for road infrastructure management, leverages Exwayz technology to map tens of thousands of kilometers of roads annually with centimeter-level accuracy. Already deployed with over 200 municipalities, Cyvl.ai relies on Exwayz SLAM technology to automatically generate ultra-precise 3D maps across the American territory. This partnership paves the way for new applications in autonomous mobility and predictive infrastructure maintenance, accelerating the modernization and safety of the national road network.
Daniel Pelaez, CEO of Cyvl, explains, “At Cyvl, we partnered with Exwayz to strengthen our SLAM pipelines and deliver robust, large-scale, highly accurate 3D point clouds that power our solutions for cities. Exwayz’s software is reliable, and their support is top-notch.”

Yves Bonnefont, a Key Figure in the World of Mobility
Yves Bonnefont, a recognized figure in the world of mobility and embedded technologies, joins Exwayz as a non-executive advisor and business angel. A graduate of École Centrale Paris, with experience at McKinsey and as a former executive at the Stellantis group, he founded DS Automobiles and later the Group's embedded software business unit, where he spearheaded its software and digital transformation. His involvement with Exwayz will be invaluable in making the startup a major global player in 3D perception and autonomous navigation.
Yves Bonnefont explains: "Engaged in key partnerships with leading industrial players, Exwayz exemplifies the new generation of French deeptechs revolutionizing the autonomous systems industry. I am proud to support this exceptional team in this new phase of growth."
About Exwayz
Exwayz is a French startup founded in 2021 by Hassan Bouchiba (CEO), Mathias Corsia (CTO) and Antoine Plat (COO), which develops a disruptive software solution for autonomous navigation in complex and changing environments. Exwayz SLAM technology is based on proprietary innovations in 3D vision. It is the first reliable solution capable of calculating a robot's position to the nearest centimeter using on-board 3D data processing.
Exwayz software finds applications in numerous sectors: autonomous logistics, industrial inspection, and autonomous delivery vehicles and systems. Already deployed on several fleets of autonomous robots, Exwayz technology has been proven over thousands of hours in real-world conditions.
Winner of the i-Lab 2024 Innovation Competition as part of the France 2030 plan, selected among the top 40 startups at Station F in 2023 (Future40), and BPI Deeptech certified, Exwayz is establishing itself as a key player in robotics and 3D vision.
