Recap of CentraleSupélec's Startup Week 2025 🎉

published on
25 June 2025

From June 10 to 13, the entire 1A cohort of the engineering program was involved in an entrepreneurial hackathon week.

‍

Objective: to go from idea to pitch deck in 4 days, including field interviews, market analysis, and a preliminary business model. 4 days to iterate and explore new business opportunities, starting from a blank slate, an impact-driven topic proposed by one of our partner companies, or a deeptech challenge stemming from one of our research labs.

‍

CentraleSupélec's 2025 Startup Week

‍

This 2025 Startup Week in numbers:

  • 950 engineering students participated, divided into 158 groups
  • Over 80 coaches present to support them
  • 9 finalist projects, all of which will be supported by the 21st by CentraleSupĂ©lec incubator
  • 2 winning projects that shared 3 awards (Jury, Audacity, Public)

‍

A huge thank you to our partner companies Greenly and Electra, each of whom proposed an impact-driven topic to engage our students:

Greenly: What service offering for SMEs allows them to measure the financial impact of emission reduction actions?

Electra: How can we reinvent tomorrow's service stations?

‍

‍

Thanks to the long-standing partners of this startup week: One Point, which notably awarded the Audacity Prize, and the Genius CentraleSupélec association, which awarded the Public Prize.

‍

Our thanks also go to the CentraleSupélec Research Department, Bernard Yannou and Florent Loete, as well as the researchers who offered students the opportunity to work on their #deeptech topics:

  1. Semiconductor material characterization kit for microelectronics or photovoltaics, led by Alexandre Jaffre,
  2. Smart fabric based on carbon nanotube threads, led by Nabila Zerrouki
  3. Non-destructive extraction and characterization technology for organic matter, led by David Boulesteix
  4. Seismic risk measurement technology, led by Filippo Gatti.

‍

Finally, last but not least, a huge thank you to the coaches who dedicated their time and to Jean-François Gallouin, the pedagogical lead for this wonderful week, who brilliantly led his very last startup week.

‍

The 9 finalist projects are joining the 21st by CentraleSupélec incubator and will be supported by our team. Here they are:

Neosuture (Jury Prize & Audacity Award)
  • #1 Neosuture (Jury Prize & One Point Audacity Award)

A smart suture thread that reduces the risk of post-operative infections.

The thread changes color as soon as an infection appears. This empowers patients and limits hospital costs.

Congratulations to Antonin Decouvelaere, Paul Noël-Bertin, Tom Connery, Emmanuel Djezvedjian, Elsa Rigollet, Jean-Philippe Benard-Ducy.

‍

Beeeh-ton (Genius Audience Award)
  • #2 - Beeeh-ton (Genius Audience Award)

A new life for sheep's wool. Today, 95% of wool is discarded in France. Concrete accounts for 7% of CO2 emissions. The solution proposed by the team: replace fiber-reinforced concrete with wool.

Congratulations to Yanis Amrani, Constance Vassard, Lisa Schmitt, Alicia Iung, Raphael Garnier, Adrien Eloy.

‍

  • Zenkolab (Incubated by 21st / Entrepreneurship Program)

Addresses the acute shortage of ophthalmologists in France by revolutionizing early detection of eye diseases and facilitating the identification of patients at risk of retinopathy through artificial intelligence and simplified appointment booking.

‍

  • Vibrastep

The vibrating insole that helps the visually impaired. A Bluetooth-connected vibrating insole to help visually impaired people move around more easily.

‍

  • Part'Age

Nearly 2 million elderly people suffer from social isolation. This platform facilitates connections between young people and seniors for cultural and recreational activities, based on individual preferences. Seniors are accompanied by a younger person, and the younger participants benefit from a more attractive rate.

‍

  • CoWatt

An application that connects drivers charging their electric vehicles with passengers who want to carpool to the same destination. Partnership with electric charging stations and local businesses.

‍

  • TerraDĂ©marche

A platform that simplifies administrative procedures for farmers.

By freeing up farmers' time, TerraDémarche promotes better agroecological monitoring and allows them to focus on what truly matters.

‍

  • Keyless

Replace physical hotel key cards with virtual, digital keys. This reduces plastic waste, enhances security with strong authentication, and minimizes loss, a significant issue with physical cards.

‍

  • EcoSurf

A single surfboard's carbon footprint is equivalent to a round trip from Paris to Rome.

15 times lower footprint for a resistant, lightweight, and durable board.
