Cypheme

Detecting counterfeit products using a smartphone camera, with artificial intelligence.

3% of global trade consists of counterfeit goods (OECD). Counterfeiting kills more people than malaria (WHO). In Nigeria, for example, 64% of anti-malarial drugs are counterfeit (WHO).

Cypheme is an artificial intelligence capable of detecting counterfeit products using a smartphone camera, co-founded by Hugo Garcia-Cotte and Charles Garcia.

Essentially, users can use our web app to photograph the product and detect if it's genuine or fake.

By analyzing the microstructure of the packaging, Cypheme detects micro-errors made by counterfeiters.

Business model > B2B2C, we sell directly to brands. At this stage, we sell anti-counterfeit stickers and charge per sticker.

Challenge in the coming months > To be the first company in the world to release a Deep General Tracing solution, meaning being able to detect a counterfeit product just from a photo of the product, without any sticker.
