Modern conflicts have given rise to a new threat: low-cost attack drones and munitions, mass-produced and deployed in swarms to overwhelm traditional defense systems. traditional defense systems. Given this reality, intercepting inexpensive targets with costly and complex-to-produce solutions is not a viable model — neither economically nor industrially. EGIDE is developing a response commensurate with this disruption: a new generation of interceptors autonomous, combining missile-level intelligence and mass production capability, to neutralize the threat effectively, at a controlled cost, and scalable for mass production.

The next step
EGIDE has set an ambitious and demanding timeline: to design a modular and scalable system, from scratch to MVP, in twelve months — then scale up with an assembly line for several hundred effectors per year starting in 2027. This is a major industrial challenge in a field where speed of execution is itself a weapon.
Why 21st by CentraleSupélec?
Operating in the deeptech and deftech sectors requires a thorough understanding of the key players, funding dynamics and technological development challenges — all these insights that 21st by CentraleSupélec provides to EGIDE. Beyond this ecosystem, the incubator supports the startup in identifying and structuring strategic partnerships between public, private, and academic stakeholders: a decisive lever for a technology whose deployment occurs at the intersection of the industrial, institutional, and research worlds.
