Climate and Biodiversity

Kanop

Co-founded by Romain Fau & Louis de Vitry, the startup Kanop measures the climate impact of forestry projects via satellite.

Kanop enables forest carbon project developers and forest managers to effectively measure their climate impact.

To do this, Kanop uses very high-resolution satellite imagery and artificial intelligence to create a digital twin of the forest of interest at the tree level, accurately quantifying and certifying the ecosystem services provided: sequestered carbon, biodiversity preservation index, etc.
