Living Models

Living Models helps seed companies develop more resilient plant varieties using AI.

Cyril Véran and Léonard Strouk, co-founders of Living Models, an AgTech startup specializing in AI-powered plant engineering for food security

Today, plant varieties, developed for a climate that no longer exists, are struggling to adapt — and traditional plant breeding methods are too slow to keep pace with change. Living Models develops artificial intelligence models that enable to rationally engineer plants : adding new resistance traits without altering existing ones, accelerating the development of sustainable plant-derived medicines, and contributing to global food security. A major breakthrough for seed companies – and for the planet.

The next step

The team is focusing its efforts on two critical technical areas: training AI models and developing a pilot. A foundational phase that will determine Living Models' ability to demonstrate its technology at scale to seed companies.

Why 21st by CentraleSupélec?

Developing AI models for life sciences requires access to top-tier scientific research. By joining 21st by CentraleSupélec, Living Models gains preferential access to cutting-edge laboratories at CentraleSupélec, but also at AgroParisTech – a rare combination at the intersection of engineering, artificial intelligence, and plant sciences.
