Current approaches to longevity and age-related diseases are dominated by cellular reprogramming, the safety and scalability of which remain uncertain.
Youngr Labs is exploring an untapped potential: the ability of small molecules to also restore healthy cellular states.
To achieve this, the startup is developing the first large-scale single-cell perturbation transcriptomic atlas (scRNA-seq) of human cells, designed to measure the effect of hundreds of small molecules on key biological pathways associated with longevity. This unique atlas powers a novel AI model, a "virtual cell," capable of generalizing these results to predict cell behavior across organs, in both healthy and pathological states, and at different ages.
Combined with new epigenetic clocks, the platform radically transforms the scale of therapeutic discovery: it enables the exploration of vast molecular spaces at a speed and scale unattainable through experimental methods alone. The business model is hybrid, combining a "CRO-as-a-service" R&D platform with intellectual property co-development.
